Jacksons Creek biik wurrdha Regional Parklands will span over 1,000 hectares and approximately 20km along Jacksons Creek biik wurrdha in Sunbury. The Parklands Plan sets out principles and directions for the progressive establishment and management of the parklands. The plan responds to the critical need to protect and enhance biodiversity and cultural heritage, mitigate climate change, and contribute to improved community health and wellbeing.
The Parklands Plan was developed in a partnership between the Victorian Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA), Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation (WWCHAC), Parks Victoria, Hume City Council, Melbourne Water, and Greater Western Water.
