FFLA led a team working with the City of Greater Bendigo to deliver a master plan and management framework for the 34 hectare Rosalind Park Precinct in central Bendigo. The park is a large open space located directly north of the Bendigo CBD that incorporates numerous user groups and stakeholders, including a broad range of sporting clubs and two schools. The precinct also houses an impressive array of heritage buildings and spaces. The master plan addresses the competing demands on the site associated with these existing uses, as well as taking into account ongoing changes. Major changes underway as the project was being undertaken included the redevelopment of the hospital just to the north of the site, the redevelopment of the former jail on the site into a theatre complex, and the extension of the Bendigo Art Gallery on the western edge of the site. The project included extensive consultation, including more than 20 face-to-face meetings with key individuals and stakeholder groups, as well as public drop-in sessions and workshops.
