FFLA undertook landscape design and documentation for the National Affordability Rental Scheme housing project at Monash University, working with architects BVN. Completed in late 2011, the development provides 600 self-contained units. The landscape design includes the integration of facilities (such as shelters, barbecues, an outdoor gym and productive gardens), the incorporation of Green Star requirements, and extensive communal gardens with a mostly indigenous character that ties in with a nature reserve abutting the site.
