FFLA is currently working with Six Degrees Architects for Stockland in the design, documentation and contract administration of landscape works at Mernda Retirement Community, currently under construction. The development includes independent living ‘villas’ as well as a community facility including lawn bowls, a swimming pool, a productive garden and outdoor eating areas. The landscape design is inspired by the surrounding environment, including ancient River Red Gums and the associated fauna that can be observed in the vicinity. The design includes bird-attracting plants, and bird-baths scattered in public spaces around the development.
