FFLA provides landscape architectural and urban design consulting services across a diverse range of project types. Our office works on projects of all scales for public and private clients. Our practice maintains a diversity of project types, not least to constantly seek new challenges, but also to expand our capabilities to ensure we offer our clients highly considered solutions. Our experience of the company in constructed projects is used to ensure that broader scale strategic and master planning work is based on a knowledge of what is achievable.

Tim Fitzgerald, director

Tim is an experienced designer with a range of project experience across a number of design fields. His professional experience includes a year managing design and production for a publisher in London, and work across a broad range of landscape architectural projects in Melbourne and Bangkok. His recent landscape architectural work includes collaboration with artists, architects and designers on projects such as park master planning, schools, hospitals and urban renewal/streetscape projects. Tim is a former lecturer at the University of Melbourne on the interactions between art and landscape. He is also mildly obsessed with bicycles.

Mark Frisby, director

Mark has experience working across a broad range of project types and scales, with his project work achieving industry recognition at state and national awards. He has particular experience and expertise in strategic planning, urban renewal, coastal environments and native vegetation management. He also has extensive knowledge and experience of sustainable landscape design including sustainable transport and constructed ecology. Mark actively contributes to community and industry groups and is the current National President of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects. Outside of work he enjoys the benefits of well-tended vegie garden between enjoying the creative and sporting pursuits of his three sons.

FFLA provides a well resourced, creative environment to enable our team to work effectively and efficiently. The quality of the work environment is enhanced by natural light, natural ventilation, rooftop garden and indoor plants. We support 'fairtrade' programs and prioritise the purchase of consumerables with recycled content such as office paper with a 100% recycled content. The office is in close proximity to public transport and covered bicycle parking is provided at our office.

FFLA is committed to staff development, equality and providing opportunities for professional development. Our office has a variety of project types which enables staff to develop skills in all aspects of landscape architecture and urban design practice including participation in design competitions and probono projects. FFLA supports the contribution of staff to the advancement of our profession through industry bodies as well contributions to tertiary institutions and student placements.
